Bali, what a delightful surprise you turned out to be! Despite hearing a mix of reviews from friends—some raving, others disenchanted—you never topped my travel list. But when the chance came to celebrate our friends' wedding and our second anniversary on this island, we seized it.

 

Our stay was at the charmingly designed "LITA HYTTE BALI" in Tabanan, a quaint fisherman's village just a 20-minute drive from the bustling tourist hub of Canggu. Transitioning from the hectic pace of London to 2.5 weeks of serene Bali island life was a blessing.Initially, Bali felt overwhelming—the intense heat, humidity, pollution surpassing London's, the jet lag and chaotic traffic. But witnessing the island lifestyle of our friends Anny (who shot this editorial) and Danny completely transformed my perspective. 

 

Knowing them since 2014, when we all lived in Berlin, and seeing their current life in Bali is nothing short of inspiring. It’s a 360-degree transformation! The cost of a luxurious lifestyle is far less than I imagined. Picture having your own house, a beach at your doorstep, dining out more often, and enjoying fresh tropical fruits daily. The stress-free, laid-back vibe here is contagious. Everyone seems relaxed, motivated to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle, waking up early, and embracing life fully. It feels almost too good to be true.

 

After this trip, the thought of returning to London was unappealing. We're now planning to return to Bali for one to two months, exploring modeling opportunities that seem promising. Who knows? We might even decide to extend our stay longterm. Bali we can’t wait to see you again!
