Art Hearts Fashion London Closes Landmark Showcase at
St. John’s Church Featuring International Designers from Across the Globe

A MOVING FAMILY:
ART HEARTS FASHION ARRIVES IN LONDON

London — For two days in February, Art Hearts Fashion transformed St. John’s Church into a temporary home for a travelling community of designers, models and creatives. What unfolded on February 20–21 during London Fashion Week felt less like a traditional runway and more like a modern fashion caravan — a moving platform where global voices gather, collaborate and continue their journey across continents.

Founded in 2010 by Erik Rosete, Art Hearts Fashion has spent fifteen years building an international network that blurs the boundaries between fashion, art and performance. From New York to Los Angeles, Miami to Shanghai, the project travels with its core creative circle while inviting local talent to step into the story at each destination. Models join the cast from the city itself, designers contribute their collections from around the world, and the runway becomes a temporary stage for cultural exchange.

Speaking with LUMEN, Rosete described the project almost like a travelling theatre — a continuous movement of designers, stylists and models who gather, disperse and regroup across the globe. Alongside directing the platform, Rosete also designs his own label, Mister Triple X, while overseeing the styling and presentation of several participating collections whose designers cannot always be present in person.

Yet beyond the scale of the production, what defines the platform is its sense of community.

BACKSTAGE WITH GLAUDI

Designer GLAUDI spoke about the experience with a warmth that echoed throughout the backstage atmosphere. For her, Art Hearts Fashion has grown into something more intimate than a typical runway circuit.
“It feels like a family,” she shared during her conversation with LUMEN.
For Glaudi, whose work celebrates femininity through intricately embellished bridal and couture gowns, the platform has allowed her not only to present her vision internationally but to do so while travelling with her own family. Her husband and child accompany her across continents, a reality that reflects a wider shift within the industry: a growing space for women who lead creative businesses while redefining the balance between ambition, artistry and motherhood.

In a fashion system historically dominated by male leadership, this presence of strong female designers carries a new and refreshing energy. Glaudi speaks openly about encouraging women to dream beyond conventional limits — to build careers, families and creative worlds simultaneously. The runway becomes not only a stage for garments, but for new narratives about what leadership in fashion can look like.

GLAUDI by Johana Hernandez is a fashion house launched in 2011 and based in Beverly Hills and Downey, California. The brand specializes in luxury couture evening gowns, bespoke bridalwear, quinceañera dresses, and custom suits for all genders and body types, with a focus on confidence, elegance, and inclusivity.

Johana grew up in Compton, California, the daughter of Salvadoran immigrant garment workers. Her early exposure to sewing and garment construction with her parents, who worked in factories for major global labels; laid the foundation for her lifelong commitment to craft and design.

At a young age, she worked as a designer for major brands before founding GLAUDI, named in honour of her mother Gladis, and rapidly gained recognition for her craftsmanship and empowering approach to fashion.
Her gowns have been worn by celebrities like Serena Williams, Paulina Rubio, Nicole Richie, and Gloria Trevi, and she has been featured in major fashion showcases, including Paris Fashion Week — making her the first Salvadoran American to show at Parisin that context.

Beyond design, Johana is also known for her philanthropy and community engagement — from building schools in El Salvador to producing and donating protective face masks during the pandemic, as well as mentoring young people through programmes like Big Brothers Big Sisters and EmpowHer.

Her work balances cultural heritage, bespoke craft, body confidence, and modern couture, making her a meaningful voice in contemporary fashion.

This season’s London showcase brought together twelve international designers from North and South America as well as Europe, each contributing a distinct visual language to the two-day program.

Among the standout voices were Dominican designer Giannina Azar, whose unapologetically glamorous creations fused bold colour with sculpted silhouettes and intricate embellishment, carrying the vibrant energy of the Caribbean onto the London runway.

Venezuelan label Idol Jose introduced a youthful mix of streetwear and vibrant palettes, while Chilean brand Bad Pink delivered a sharp, boundary-pushing aesthetic designed to provoke conversation.

From Europe, German designer Pia Bolte presented sleek architectural tailoring defined by precision and minimal structure, while House of Byfield merged street culture with high fashion silhouettes.

Honduran designer Merlin Castell brought an expressive energy to the runway through joyful colours and fluid movement, celebrating individuality and the power of clothing to embody emotion.

Together, these designers reflected the essence of Art Hearts Fashion’s mission: to amplify creative voices from different cultures and backgrounds while creating a platform where global talent can meet on equal ground.

The result inside St. John’s Church was less about a single aesthetic direction and more about a shared spirit. A gathering of designers who move together from city to city — a contemporary travelling atelier where fashion becomes a language spoken across borders.

For LUMEN, the moment revealed something deeper about the future of fashion. Not simply the emergence of new designers, but the rise of new communities — collaborative, international and increasingly shaped by diverse creative leadership.

In a landscape that often moves too fast to build real connection, Art Hearts Fashion reminds us that fashion can still travel like a story passed from one city to another.

And sometimes, like a wandering circus of creativity, the family simply moves on to the next stage.
