'THE ARCHEOLOGY OF SELF'

Spring/Summer 2026

For Spring/Summer 2026, Di Petsa delves into the deep strata of memory, myth, and the feminine psyche with The Archeology of Self. At its heart stands the Moon Goddess Selene — luminous, elusive, never whole, always glimpsed in fragments — a metaphor for memory itself. To search for her is to search for the hidden temple within ourselves, for the truths that flicker like light across water.

The show unfolded at Town Hall, King’s Cross — its architecture echoing the idea of excavation, of unearthing something sacred within familiar stone. Creative Director Dimitra Petsa conjured a collection where garments cling like second skin, wet drapery transformed into an eternal silhouette. Each piece seemed pulled from an ancient dream and reborn in the present: sensual yet ceremonial, fragile yet indomitable.

The staging was a total artwork. Movement directed by Leo D’Aquino carried models with lunar poise; set designer Ellie Koslowsky built an atmosphere of reverent intimacy. Music composed by Violette Wilson wove through the space like an incantation. Beauty was sculpted into its own mythology: crystalline wet-look skin by Crystabel Efemena Riley with Adored by Lottie Tomlinson, hair directed by Efidsvies for Toni & Guy, and nails by Tyler Phoenix at Mii Cosmetics.

Accessories extended the dream-world: sculptural footwear by Charles & Keith and Pedro, sunglasses by Maustein. Styled under the guidance of Flora Huddart and Concrete Rep, the looks fused archeology with futurism — an excavation of memory that points toward tomorrow.

With The Archeology of Self, Di Petsa reminds us that identity is not fixed but unearthed, luminous, and shifting. Like Selene, it is both memory and myth, fragment and fullness — and fashion, here, becomes a ritual of remembrance.
