NASSIA MATSA
In Front Of The Lense And
Ahead Of The Curve

Where gods descend from Olympus onto Savile Row, pleasure, beauty, and quiet power take form. Within this imagined space, Nassia Matsa moves effortlessly through our crafted set, captured through the lens of Kim Lang.

Their collaboration is rooted in a shared creative language, shaped by two distinct worlds.

The set itself emerged through an intuitive and deeply physical process. Together with Kim and Caren, we spent days on an estate, gathering materials from the surrounding forest, guided by the question of how nature, light, fire and the quiet presence of sunrise could be translated into form. What was once overlooked or discarded became part of the narrative. Unwanted fragments were reassembled into something intentional, almost sacred.

Across five days, the process unfolded between landscape and studio, collecting, building, and refining in a constant state of transformation, where instinct led as much as design. Alongside this, a still life installation took shape, a curated box filled with pieces by Isabel Marant, anchoring the visual story in our broader theme of Hades. This creates a subtle connection to the underworld that threads through our event.

Inspired by their previous work and the depth of their connection, we built a narrative that weaves together heritage, identity, and image, translating it into a visual story that feels both timeless and contemporary, and deeply personalised through our shared creative bond.

NASSIA MATSA

Nassia Matsa, a model who writes the scripts for the world she walks through: that’s the most accurate way to describe Nassia Matsa. Athens‑born and London‑based, she moves easily between fronting campaigns for houses like Prada, Dior and Burberry and filing sharp, carefully argued articles on technology, culture and power for titles such as the Financial Times, Wired and Vanity Fair.

Matsa arrived in London as a media student, not as a model. A degree in Media and Journalism was followed by a master’s in Publishing and then a second master’s in Media and Communication Governance, a path that led first into editorial work at magazines like Wired and only later, almost accidentally, onto set. A photographer friend posted a portrait; a casting director saw it; soon she was on set for Noon Magazine, then Louboutin, then Prada and Balenciaga. She entered fashion’s image‑machine already fluent in its language.

That double fluency is what makes her interesting now. On one hand, she’s the face of international campaigns and has appeared in numerous Vogue editorials, while being nominated multiple times by Models.com as a Social Mover and singled out by Vogue.com as one of fashion’s best Instagram accounts. On the other, she is an increasingly impor‑tant voice in the debate around AI and ethics in fashion: her writing on algorithmic bias, labour and regulation has circulated widely, and research collaborations on the future of AI with academic institutions. For Nassia Matsa, the question is no longer whether a model can also be a writer. It’s what happens when the person in the picture is also one of the people deciding how pictures—and the systems that generate them—will work. ”Nassia Matsa, In Front of the Lens and Ahead of the Curve”
